Academy Dominates Real Shore, 8-1

June 24, 2007-Paced by two goals and one assist from Player of the Match Maurice Brown and two goals each scored by Arman Osooli and Chris Giuffrida, the Long Island Academy defeated Real Shore, 8-1, tonight at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale.

Also scoring the Academy goals were Adam Bruh and Michael Butler.

The Academy held a 27-4 advantage in shots in a match they thoroughly dominated.

"We have not been putting teams away but we did that tonight. Spectators like to see goals and they certainly saw them tonight," commented Long Island Academy head coach Paul Riley. "I'm very happy to be undefeated at this point in the season with a first-year franchise."

Long Island improves to 3-0-3 and Real Shore drops to 0-6-0.

The Academy's next match is their last regular season game at home. They play Queen City FC on Friday night, July 6 at Mitchel Athletic Complex in the nightcap at 7:45 pm. That same night, their sister team, the Long Island Fury, play the Northampton Laurels at 5:30 pm.
