The 23-year-old Uniondale resident played for Uniondale High School, where he was named All-American. "Junior" also competed for the Long Island Junior Soccer League's East Meadow Hawks for six years and Hempstead Falcons for two years. He won a State Cup title with East Meadow.

Junior quickly established himself as the manstay of the Academy defense in 2008, leading the side to surrender less than one goal per game.
