Defender Arman Osooli
Billy Gatti

Arman assisted on the Academy's first-ever goal, a Carlo Espinosa strike in the 1-0 May 19 victory over Queen City FC.

"Arman is a strong, no-nonsense defender," commented Long Island Academy head coach Paul Riley. "He is dynamite in the tackle and has a great understanding of the game. An excellent physical presence."

The 20-year-old Michigan native grew up competing for two top-ranked soccer clubs in the Wolverine State, Vardar and Birmingham Blazers. He is currently a student at Hofstra and lives in Hempstead.

Arman's best moment on a soccer field was "winning his third Colonial Athletic Association title" with the Hofstra Pride.
