Moved up top, he was tripped in the 119th minute which led to the successful Tom Lobben penalty kick that helped the Academy defeat the Boston Aztecs, 3-2, in the 2008 NPSL quarterfinals. "Arman is a strong, no-nonsense defender," commented Long Island Academy head coach Adrian Gaitan. "He is very strong in the tackle and has a great understanding of the game. An excellent physical presence." The 21-year-old Michigan native grew up competing for two top-ranked soccer clubs in the Wolverine State, Vardar and Birmingham Blazers, and also played for the Region 2 Olympic Development Program team. He is currently a student at Hofstra and lives in Hempstead. Arman's best moment on a soccer field was "winning his third Colonial Athletic Association title" with the Hofstra Pride.
